Heritage Memorial Garden bathed in spring sunshine
There are still some finishing touches to be done to complete the Garden but it is now a lovely place to sit and enjoy. At the moment beds are looking a little lacking in colour and we plan this year to get lots of bulbs in for winter and early spring colour! However you could help us now, have you snowdrops flowering in your garden? While they are flowering snowdrops can be spit and replanted! Could you spare some and bring along to our garden Club. The ‘Friends’ gardening club meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday afternoon in the garden from 2pm—3.30pm. There will be there be someone in the garden to take and plant any snowdrops. See contact details on the back.
Tolson junior parkrun — new launch date Sunday 17th April
Due to red tape and the need to get everything absolutely right, we had to postpone the start of the Tolson parkrun, however we start on Sunday 17th April. Just to remind you this is for children for 4 to 14 and will be on every Sunday starting 9am. We could still do with some more marshals. If, occasionally, you could give an hour on Sunday morning from about 8.45 that would be a great help. The ‘Friends’ will be providing refreshments during and after the run. So if you have children, grandchildren, who would enjoy seeing how fast they can run, get them along ! It really is fun. The course is 2 km and they can go ‘on line’ to see how they do.
