This is Ravensknowle Park with Tolson Memorial Museum at its very heart.
This Museum of Huddersfield, its contents, and the Park are places of historical interest, peace and tranquillity for everyone and particularly the people of Huddersfield.
With this beautiful place and fascinating history, it is not surprising that so many people, old and young, hold it so dear.
The Friends of Tolson and Ravensknowle has been formed to assist in the protection, management and monitoring of the Tolson Memorial Museum and Ravensknowle Park, for use by the public as a place of recreation, education and enjoyment for the long term benefit of the community.
They are there to support the Curator, staff and gardeners to keep the place interesting and beautiful.
Why don’t you come along and join us. We are a friendly bunch and have a full calendar of events in place. We have already raised money to design, plan and build a Memorial Garden for those service men and women who have given their lives in conflicts since 1945.
